So, you're going to be wanting to know how to get hold of this pattern, right? Corvus has not only provided us with this lovely guy above, she has also provided us with a whole alphabet and a blank octopus, so you can use the alphabet to stitch whatever word you like under your octopus. We'd love to see what ever words you use, just remember to use that tag! You can download the .pdf featuring all the pattern variations here and the patterns will also be up on the Embroidery pool. I love katiekutthroat's use of colour for Lydia the Tattooed Lady, which is part of Sew Lovely's Circus Palooza pattern sheet.

Penguin embroidery by Pink Paper Peppermints

Melissa from Pink Paper Peppermints is fairly new to embroidery, so consequently I'm even more in awe of this lovely pattern, particularly the bright chain stitch lettering and chunky stripy scarf. Melissa has written a great guide on how to embroider this pattern over on her blog, where you can also download the pattern.

Bunny and her teacups embroidery stitched by Bumpkinbears

Last October, artist and illustrator Catherine Young from Bumpkin launched her first embroidery pattern, Bunny and her teacups. I've seen this pattern pop up in a few places since Christmas and I couldn't resist showing it here. Fingers crossed for more Bumpkin embroidery patterns!

Feeling Stitchy guest blogger Jenny Hart from Sublime Stitching has released loads of new patterns over the last few months, it has been particularly great to see some .pdfs for sale of designs that were previously only available on Sublime Stitching's tote bags. Jenny has also released another pattern sheet from her artist collaboration series, transferring Ryan Berkley's gorgeous animal heads to stitch. I love Claudia Marchan's stitching of this pattern, which appeared in the Flickr embroidery pool recently.

And just squeezing in one more pattern from a Feeling Stitchy blogger, Beefranck (Bridget) in collaboration with Mr X Stitch and Julie Jackson from Subversive Cross Stitch released an alternative Royal Wedding sampler at the end of last year for the Independent, admire its gorgeousness here and download for free if you fancy stitching your own memento.
